Blue SDK RapidLaunch for Linux version 3.0 supports now LE Audio and Bluetooth 5.3

We are pleased to announce the release of Blue SDK RapidLaunch 3.0 for Linux.

RapidLaunch is designed to easily integrate and maintain a high quality, highly configurable, and feature-rich Bluetooth stack compatible on any distribution of Linux. This new version brings support for LE Audio and Bluetooth 5.3, enabling new topologies, new use cases, and higher quality audio. RapidLaunch is qualified with the Bluetooth SIG and can significantly reduce or eliminate your efforts qualifying a Bluetooth stack on Linux. Additionally, RapidLaunch also handles advanced use cases, such as supporting multiple Bluetooth controllers within the same host device.

LE Audio brings major updates to how Bluetooth audio works, delivering brand new topologies and use cases:

  • MULTI-STREAM AUDIO Stream Highly Synchronized, Independent Audio Channels to One or More Receiving Devices (enables multiple devices to act together as a single sound system)
  • IMPROVED AUDIO QUALITY & REDUCED LATENCY According to a study by the Bluetooth SIG, the new LC3 codec enables better audio quality at half the bit rate when compared to the legacy SBC codec used in Classic Bluetooth Audio.
