Embrace the Auracast™ experience with Blue SDK RapidLaunch 3.2 and increased data privacy with Encrypted Advertising

We are delighted to announce the release of Blue SDK RapidLaunch 3.2 for Linux (“RapidLaunch”), designed to perfectly integrate with Blue SDK Qualified Bluetooth 5.4 and LE components, now offering full support for Auracast™ and Encrypted Advertising.

RapidLaunch is designed to accelerate the integration of Bluetooth® connectivity and application development providing all the necessary features, flexibility, robustness, and great interoperability to create your desired user experience in your product. Additionally, Qualified components greatly simplify the Bluetooth Qualification process, reducing the overall engineering cost and ensuring quick time-to-market.

  • Encrypted Advertising is a Bluetooth 5.4 functionality that allows advertising data to be encrypted. Since advertising data is shared in a connectionless manner, any Bluetooth device can potentially see unencrypted advertising data. Encrypted Advertising offers enhanced privacy, so that only devices with the correct passkey can unencrypt the advertising data that is using this feature.

It can be deployed in theatres, stadia, universities, conference centers enabling visitors to tune in on the audio streams they want to listen to, particularly helpful to those carrying hearing aids as they can focus on specific content.
