OpenSynergy is going to introduce the participants of the virtual Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) All Member Meeting to the established virtualization standard VIRITO maintained by the OASIS consortium. VIRITO enables to reuse existing software to save time and effort in development and it allows more flexibility on hardware choices. Tero Salminen, Senior Director Product, Virtualization at OpenSynergy, will give his presentation “Virtual I/O Device (VIRTIO) Based Virtualization for Cars” on Thursday July 16, 2020 12:35 – 13:15. He is convinced that all stakeholder such as OEMs, Tier-1s, SoC vendor, operating system vendors will benefit from the open standard, but the benefits can only be achieved if VIRTIO is extended to support all key automotive use cases. He invites the automotive industry to abandon proprietary solutions and compete on the quality of open standards implementations.
Mizuyama Masashige, Automotive CTO of Panasonic, will present a key note a this event also presenting the topic “Device Virtualization Architecture for Automotive”. We recommend that participants listen to this important key note on Thursday July 16, 2020 from 08:05 – to 08:20.
