Do you enjoy working on projects where you get to be involved with a wide variety of aspects of a product? Would you like to work with a team of international colleagues, partners, and customers from some of the biggest brands in the automotive world?
If this sounds interesting, look at what you will accomplish in this position during Year One for this critical customer facing role: 1. You will do a deep dive into our Bluetooth code base to understand the API’s and various components. You will interact directly with our customers’ software development teams in order to answer questions, provide guidance, and to help them resolve issues they are having. 2. You will lead out on investigations and issue reports but since it will be impossible for you to be an expert in all aspects of the product, you will work with the various module owners and domain experts to fix issues and deliver patches. You will be coordinating work between our Berlin and Salt Lake City teams. 3. You will be managing patches between multiple branches of code in order to efficiently deliver patches, updates, and releases to our customers. This will require building, regression testing, and documenting your work. 4. You will be responsible for writing unit and system tests, creating builds and the delivery of releases, license keys, and other aspects of engineering deliverables to customers.
We need immediate contributions. For this position, we need someone with excellent C/C++ coding skills and experience in a professional software development environment (preferably with a degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or in a related field). We want someone that has experience with Bluetooth protocol software (not just Bluetooth App development) and a variety of systems like Linux, Android, and Windows.
We’ll expect that you will be able to learn to work with a variety of programing languages and development tools on Linux, Android, and Windows. It is critical that you to have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills in order to handle some of the many complex problems you will face each day.
We use Scrum for the management of our development activities so you will need to be comfortable working in an environment with iterative development, high visibility into your work, accountability to the team, striving
