Release of Blue SDK RapidLaunch v1.3.0

OpenSynergy announces the release of Blue SDK RapidLaunch v1.3.0. This release marks a milestone in the development and maturity of the Linux Bluetooth middleware which allows for the high quality Blue SDK-based Bluetooth implementation to be quickly and efficiently implemented into Linux based platforms.

RapidLaunch supports a DBUS binding out-of-the-box. Alternatively, an integrator can use the new RapidLaunch service level API to easily create a binding to any inter-process communication mechanism for applications to communicate with the Blue SDK Bluetooth daemon.

Moreover, an Object Push client and several features for the Phonebook Access Profile (PBAP) and Messaging Access Profile (MAP) have been added. These new features include message notifications, meta information about message repositories, field-based filters for vCards, and the ability to search contacts.

RapidLaunch v1.3 is Bluetooth v4.2 compliant and supports SPP, OPP, A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, MAP, and GATT.

Blue SDK has been used in hundreds of millions of devices and is the leading independent Bluetooth host stack.

Please contact your OpenSynergy account manager or distributor contact or send email to bluetooth@opensynergy.com for more information about how RapidLaunch can help you efficiently incorporate Bluetooth into your product.
