Michalis Pappas, Senior Software Engineer at OpenSynergy, will talk about “A leap in Automotive Security through Unikernel-based Disaggregation” at the Linux Foundation Open Source Summit Japan. He will show that virtualized automotive systems can benefit from component disaggregation through unikernels. He will explain that OpenSynergy’s COQOS Hypervisor SDK, a secure and functionally safe ASIL-B Type-1 hypervisor, can leverage the Unikraft unikernel project to provide highly compartmentalized systems. Unikraft provides the ability to build specialized VMs targeting a single application, thus producing VMs that are extremely efficient and have a minimal TCB.
The virtual summit takes place from December 1 to 2, 2020. Follow Michalis’ presentation on Wednesday, December 2, from 01:20 p.m. to 02:10 p.m. (JST)
