Matthias Stumpf takes over the role of Vice President Sales at OpenSynergy on September 1, 2020. Stumpf brings over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing to OpenSynergy’s strategic direction in the automotive market. Before joining OpenSynergy, he worked in an important position at a leading provider of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and various managerial positions in sales and marketing at several companies providing automotive embedded software.
Stumpf has observed that OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers more and more virtualize functionalities to reduce the number of ECUs and the complexity in the car. They are continually searching for intelligent, flexible, and innovative solutions that provide a long-term strategy for complex systems. “OpenSynergy’s hypervisor technology is exactly such a solution. The operating system-independent virtualization technology enables the integration of different guest operating systems with different safety requirements according to ISO 26262, including Linux, Android, AUTOSAR, or proprietary RTOS on a single hardware.” Stumpf continues saying: “I am looking forward to the new challenges, leveraging from OpenSynergy’s previous success with customers and strategic partners, and pushing this forward by developing and ensuring success of our customers.”
