Production Projects

COQOS Hypervisor SDK deployed in a large number of cars of leading global OEMs.

OpenSynergy’s hypervisor technology finds confirmation of its quality through use in more and more series projects. The automotive virtual platform COQOS Hypervisor SDK integrates a mix of real-time applications and open source solutions on powerful domain controllers. It supports a large bundle of features corresponding to the virtualization standard VIRTIO, creating maximum flexibility: guest operating systems can be used and reused on different Systems on Chips.

Since 2019, COQOS Hypervisor SDK has been deployed in millions of cars of leading global OEMs. We invite you to have a look on our mass production projects and read to what customers tell about us.

Connectivity Project

We have realized the mass production of telematics connectivity units for a large number of trucks from 2014 to 2018. The solution integrates a Linux operating system with an AUTOSAR operating system. One of the main benefits is that the separation functionality between the operating systems also protects from outside attacks.

The system is running on NXP i.MX35 (Gen 2) and on NXP i.MX6 (Gen 3).

Infotainment Head Unit Project

The mass production project for an in-vehicle infotainment system contains a well-known reliable full-featured infotainment system based on Linux and another smartphone-like open platform based on Android of ALiOS sharing a single display. The solution runs on a Renesas R-Car H3 System-on Ship.

We provided this solution for many different models of cars by our first mass-production integrating a Linux and an Android OS in 2020 and started the second project combining Linux with ALiOS in 2021.

Cockpit solution

Another mass-production project in 2020 has brought effective and safe separation of Android on an infotainment system from safety functions such as displaying tell-tales on the instrument cluster display. The cockpit solution runs tasks with different levels of criticality (Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, Safety relevant information) safely on a single Renesas R-Car H3 System-on-Chip.

Also, since 2020 we have integrated two Android instances next to the Linux system into thousands of cars by mass production project.

Telematics

COQOS Hypervisor SDK is the core technology behind the telematics unit of the German truck manufacturer MAN.
