OpenSynergy’s COQOS Hypervisor SDK is the core technology behind the telematics unit of the German truck manufacturer MAN. Since 2014 the telematics unit supports fleet management functions such as monitoring the driver’s working time, organizing the driver’s schedule to ensure full capacity, and gathering internal truck data. COQOS SDK includes an automotive partition that handles all CAN-related tasks such as communication with the in-vehicle network and diagnostics. The communication with the server backend and most of the telematics and fleet management logic is implemented on a virtualized Linux partition, which simplified the development of this complex software. COQOS SDK enables both partitions to exchange information through OpenSynergy’s Automotive Communication Framework (ACF) in a secure and efficient manner, while providing a stable and feature-rich environment for the application with the Linux partition.
