COQOS at French Real Time Event
OpenSynergy is going to demonstrate COQOS at “ERTS² 2012 – Embedded Real Time Software and Systems” from February 1 to 3, 2012 in Toulouse, France. 60 exhibitors are expected at the conference and the exhibition. The COQOS demonstrator will be presented at the booth of OpenSynergy’s partner SYSGO. COQOS presented at CES
"The digital lifestyle leads to a digital Drive Style" said Dieter Zetsche1 in his keynote at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas when commenting the convergence of consumer electronics with the automotive industry. COQOS is exactly at this interface and combines both worlds reliably and securely. OpenSynergy attracted wide attention by its two COQOS-Demonstrators shown at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
In Car Kit: automotive-ready development package
OpenSynergy now provides a complete hardware and software package that makes it possible to get started with COQOS more quickly. The COQOS In-Car-Kit is based on Freescale's i.MX53 SABRE reference design and includes all the periphery that a head-unit requires, such as Bluetooth, GPS, WLAN, an FM-Tuner, audio-amplifier, 3G USB-Modem, etc. The In-Car-Kit has the standard single DIN size (180 x 50mm) and automotive connectors for video and audio, external antennae and CAN connectivity.
Live-Demonstration at the CES in Las Vegas
At the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, OpenSynergy is showing its standard based software platform COCOS at two locations. COQOS makes it possible to build automotive infotainment and telematics systems that include Linux and/or Android, satisfy automotive requirements and are AUTOSAR-compliant.
Our first demonstrator is a COQOS-based GENIVI-compliant solution for automotive infotainment systems. The demonstrator includes a GENIVI-compliant Linux partition and a real-time fast-booting AUTOSAR partition.
The connected car is reality
The integration of applications and services to connect cars to external networks and cloud services is inevitable. This became evident at this year's Telematics Munich. On this occasion OpenSynergy presented a live demonstration of its core product COQOS. During the conversations the participants emphasized: the connected car is not a dream of the future and no vision for advertising purposes, but have long been a fact.
